Job Title: Team Lead
Job Summary:
The Team Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering the KINDRED RUNNING customer experience. This role is responsible for motivating customers and team members alike, ensuring that every interaction reflects our company’s values and exceptional service standards. The Team Lead will work on the sales floor, assist with daily operations, and uphold the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.
Hours: Hourly Position (up to 40 hrs/wk)
Relationships: Reports to the Assistant Store Manager
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development:

Inspire and motivate the team to consistently provide the KINDRED RUNNING customer experience.

Lead by example in creating a positive work environment that supports the mission, vision, and core values of KINDRED RUNNING.
Customer Experience and Sales:

Provide an exceptional customer experience that reflects the KINDRED RUNNING values and standards.

Engage with customers on the sales floor, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

Work with 1-2 customers at once, offering personalized service and product recommendations.

Assist with online order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory transfers as needed.
Team Collaboration and Support:

Participate in daily morning staff meetings to discuss goals, expectations, and store updates.

Support and inspire fellow team members by fostering a positive work environment.

Communicate team and operational needs with the Store Manager/Assistant, including inventory and staff concerns.
Operational Excellence:

Assist with store opening and/or closing procedures to ensure smooth daily operations.

Operate the POS system with accuracy and efficiency.

Perform KINDRED RUNNING FIT process and provide knowledgeable product recommendations.

Ensure inventory is well-maintained and supply needs are communicated effectively to the Assistant Store Manager.

Help manage store operations by contributing to maintaining store cleanliness and visual presentation.

Forward any customer escalation issues to the Assistant Store Manager when necessary.
Community Engagement and Programming (Optional):

Assist with leading community-focused events, such as group runs, fitness classes, and in-store events, fostering a sense of belonging and customer loyalty.
Required Experience:

Demonstrated ability to lead teams that create exceptional customer experiences that drive both sales and customer loyalty.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with a diverse customer base.

Basic knowledge of running products and footwear, with a willingness to learn and deepen product knowledge.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic retail environment.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Performance Measurement:
